Elections are being held by East Dunbartonshire for all the Community Councils in its area. Milton of Campsie and Birdston have 10 spaces available, so the current sitting council will be dissolved, with new nominations accepted.
Completed nomination forms must be returned by email to election@eastdunbarton.gov.uk or posted to Lesley McKenzie at Southbank Marina, 12 Strathkelvin Place, G66 1TJ. The Returning Officer must receive completed Nomination Forms by Wednesday, 12 October 2022 at 4pm. Nominees should be resident in the Community Council area and on the voter's roll. If you need to check your voter number, a copy is held at Craighead Library.
If there are more nominees than spaces (ie over 10), then an election will be held.
Polling would take place on Thursday, 27 October 2022 between the hours 6pm and 9pm at a local venue within the Community Council Area. Details of any Poll will be publicised at that time.
Office bearers would be voted in by the new CC and this election has no bearing on positions within the CC.
