christmas decorations competition

The last couple of years, the Community Council has awarded a prize for seasonal decoration to houses in Milton of Campsie and Birdston.

This year, we would invite you to send your photos to secretary.moccc@outlook.com by Monday 12th December 5pm for judging. A winner will be awarded before Christmas. 

Given the current economic and energy situation, all types of decoration will be considered - paper cut outs to windows, daytime displays, etc. All efforts to celebrate the seasonal spirit will be accepted!

This year's Christmas Card Competition will be organised via the schools (Craighead and St Machan's) for children in p5-7 who live in the village. Kids will be supplied with a card blank to decorate and all cards will be distributed to the elderly in the community. Deadline for returns Friday 9th December. Prizewinners will be notified via the school.

During the weekend of 10th December, 5-7pm, Santa will be visiting the Village Hall. Book your free place via Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/480026761967

The Christmas Lights will be switched on at Milton of Campsie Cross (by the Fells) at 7:30pm on Friday 2nd December. 

You are all welcome to attend. There will be stalls organised by the Scouts.
